Note:

All the names mentioned in this page along with their political party status, subjected to that time when these messages were written back in 1987.

USSR Consulate General

Accept the heartfelt condolence over the brutal murder of Mr. Fazil Rahoo, the senior vice President of Awaami National party. We were extremely shocked to know about the tragic circumstances in which Mr. Rahoo lost his life, and have no words to express our profound sorrow over this loss to Mr. Abdul Wali Khan, his son Muhammad Ismail Rahoo and his family members back home. We assure our companionship to Rahoo’s family. Mr. Fazil Rahoo was indeed the soldier of democratic rights.

Dr. Najeebullah
(President, Afghanistan)

On behalf of Peoples Democratic Party Afghanistan, I am cordially accompanied with you people on this brutal political murder of Fazil Rahoo. My party stand’s on Shaheed Fazil’s dignity who was the intrepid leader of the revolutionary & innovative movement in Pakistan, and he dedicated his life for the social justice & democracy. We express extreme anger & hatred against those who are directly or indirectly involved in this reprehensible act and we make sure that this anti-human terrorism will never be able to abate the sentiments of virtuous forces. We condemn those who made & act on this stone-hearted conspiracy theory. Being cordially accompanied in your distress, we still assure you of our attachment in your trustworthy struggle.

Benazir Bhutto
(Chairperson, PPP)

I strongly condemn this brutal assassination of Mr. Fazil Rahoo, who was the flag-bearer among those freedom fighters who struggled against the dictator Zil-ul-Haq’s cruelty, coercion, injustice and terrorism. Fazil Rahoo was on top of the list in front line agitators of Zia establishment. He never bowed down to the oppression of anti-democratic elements. He was the true political dissident of Zia-ul-Haq, made every possible effort for the greatness of emancipation, dignity and equality. In spite of Zia’s anti-politician policy, he carried out that mission which was originated after the martyrdom of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. Fazil Rahoo was a top class political leader who became the victim of Zil-ul-Haq’s anti-political process anti-politician policy.
Workers of PPP are equally accompanied with ANP’s workers in the sorrow of this brave brother. His struggles were undoubtedly for the people especially for those who are hungry unclothed one on the whole for this homeland.

Hakim Ali Zardari (F/O Asif Ali Zardari)
(President, ANP Sindh)

Shaheed Fazil Rahoo was assassinated after being made the victim of political cruelty and conspiracy. He was the flag-bearer of poor farmers and labour forces, and a broad-spectrum of the forest of democracy but he has been lost from us. My heart sheds the tears of blood at this tragedy. We, along with his companions will carry out his struggle and will overcome all the imperialistic conspiracies. We will get the rights of poor, framers and oppressed nation by belligerence.

Abdul Rahim Hatif
(President Central Counsel, Qaumi Muhaaz Afghanistan)

On behalf of Qaumi Muhaaz and the all freedom loving people of Afghanistan, I am cordially accompanied in your heartache on the martyrdom of Fazil Rahoo. He was an extremely intrepid and trustworthy person. I firmly believe that all the self-righteous and pious people will express extreme hatred and anger against those culprits who are directly or indirectly involved in this offence. Qaumi Muhaaz strongly condemns this act of brutality.

Dadan Jatoi
(Father of Haider Bux Jatoi)

The land of Sindh has created many patriots and Shaheed Fazil is one amongst them. Fazil will remain alive in heart & mind of every Sindhi compatriot. I have come here to salute him as the fellow being of Baba-e-Sindh, Haider Bux Jatoi.

Ghous Bux Bazanjo
(President, National Party)

I loved and conceived Shaheed Fazil Rahoo like my sons and I am extremely shocked over his loss. His memories are my life’s asset.

Ghulam Mustafa Jatoi
(National Peoples Party)

My close attachment with Fazil Rahoo started some time before the origin of 1983 movement, and in very short time, a serious affection developed amongst us. Late Fazil was very brave & daring person. Beyond his countless achievements in his vicinity, he had a key role in 1983’s MRD Movement, and his name will be in the front line amongst the sacrificing individuals of that movement.

Imdad Chandio
(Central Chairman, Democratic Student Federation)

My acquaintance with Fazil Rahoo started in Jail. He remained a brave & motivated person in his life. His severance is a massive disaster & irrecoverable loss for Anti-imperialism, national democratic movement of Sindh & for the peoples freedom movement.

ANP’s Condemnatory Resolution

This emergency summit of ANP Holland expresses its strong regret and resentment over the brutal assassination of ANP’s senior vice president and pioneering leader Muhammad Fazil Rahoo. The workers of ANP believe that the assassination of Mr. Fazil Rahoo has taken place due to the mutual conspiracy of government and other extortionary forces. The adopted so-called system of Zia-Junejo government is not only a disgusting effort in order to accomplish the imperialistic interests in Pakistan but at the same time it is an open conspiracy to conceal the real culprits behind Fazil Rahoo’s death. The reprehensible ways have already been adopted before Fazil Rahoo’s incident, to make the politicians off the scene. In light of those, to declare Fazil Rahoo’s martyrdom a result of personal enmity is similar to pull wool over somebody’s eyes. Having stood on Shaheed’s dignity, this emergency meeting of ANP expresses deep sympathy, heart-felt pain, and seriously realizes that the vacuum which has been created as a result of the martyrdom of brave revolutionary and great human-friendly leader Fazil Rahoo, is impossibly to fill-up now.

Khan Abdul Wali Khan
(President, ANP

I am extremely shocked at this brutal & callous assassination of my intrepid friend & companion Fazil Rahoo. One of my best friends, who would fight for the rights of common people, has lost from us. A large vacuum has created in our party and this country’s trustworthy politics because of his death, and this is hard to be filled anymore. Fazil Rahoo was my companion and volunteer of the path of underprivileged’ rights, he sacrificed himself in this path for the service of nation & bourgeoisies. Sindh & its sons will always be proud at his dispositional character. As long as his followers exist, they will keep on paving his way. Shaheed Fazil watered that self-cultivated harvest with his own blood. Delightful nations always get proud at their martyrs. Unlike shedding tears, they feel it beneath their dignity to follow their martyrs’ pavement & to sacrifice like whom. I am equally accompanied to his family & friends in this catastrophe.

ANP, England

Sindhi nation, this country’s inhabitants and labour forces will continue his struggle. We pledge to our responsibility.

Jaam Saaqi

Though overtly, an abject devalued source is involved in the martyrdom of my friend Fazil Rahoo, but in reality, it is an open attack & proclamation of war from the imperialists & their pets. Perhaps, they don’t have the idea that, from every drop of a Shaheed’s blood, Fazil Rahoo’ are born & they carry forward his message.

Dastagir Bhatti

Fazil Raoo was my brother like colleague, lion like person and groom of Sindhi nation who has vanished from us now. Undoubtedly, nobody can fill his separation’s vacuum, but if we take our senses by following his footsteps and acting on the traditional unity & inspiration, then we will surely erect our victory’s flag one day on that destination for which our nation has long been facing the subjugation & coercion.

Sher Ali Baacha
(Mardan, Pakhtunkhuwa)

Fazil Rahoo Shaheed was a best human-characteristic and was the best bearer of Sindhi nation’s tradition. At this untimely death of Shaheed, we Pashto labour forces are equally accompanied with Sindh’s human-friendly firms.

Ghulam Nabi Kallar

Mr. Fazil Rahoo’s murder is a big tragedy, and it is the outcome of extreme conspiracy against entire labour movements. Shaheed Fazil had the adversary with all those imperialist pimps, big wigs & bureaucrats & to their extortionary system.

Shahid Jatoi

Mr. Fazil Rahoo’s martyrdom is indeed a huge tragedy for not only Sindh but also for the entire world’s oppressed & labour forces. Shaheed Fazil created a new era in the war against coercion. People from all classes salute him.

Farooq Mehtab Yousufzai

Muhammad Ibrahim Joyo

Brave Sindhi nation’s brave Sindhi leader, our honorable dear friend Fazil Rahoo…! His dream to us & us to his dream should so be connected that we may get sacrificed in the process but let never sacrifice our dream. This voice, this lesson & this call should always be burning in our hearts, because this was the voice of our evermore colleague, revolution’s intrepid soldier Fazil Rahoo.

Rafiq Safi

Today we have deprived to one such friend who was the true well wisher of Sindh’s poor & bourgeois peoples. Sindh will never forget him. My heart has filled with poignant tears while writing these lines.

Nazeer Laghari
(Siraeki Lok Saanjha)

Fazil Rahoo’s martyrdom is a massive loss to oppressed & compelled peoples. He competed intrepidly against the cruelty & coercion. His vision will guide us & we determine to follow his footprints.

Abdul Qadir Raantho
(Central President, Sindhi Haari Tehreek)

This is indeed an enormous loss to the nation & entire country’s browbeaten peoples. I am myself very painful & equal participant in poor nation & our organization’s mourn.

Faqeer Bux Heesbani
(Central President, SPSF Sindh)

After spilling the blood of labour forces, now the racist scum has started to victimize their leaders. Comrade Fazil Rahoo’s martyrdom is a new beginning of their conspiracies. I salute to that great mother who gave birth to son like Shaheed Fazil Rahoo..

Yaar Muhammad Shah

Though I could never meet late Fazil but today having stood at his grave and having seen all those small kids & ladies raising the slogans that: “ Oh! Oppressors give the account of Death”, I believe that the day is not far away when we will get the account of our martyr’s death.

Dr. Hameeda Kharho
(Chairperson Working Committee, G.A Sindhi Tehreek)

Shaheed Fazil Rahoo was brother of all we Sindhi’s & he was the honest soldier of Sindh. He had the feeling of that pain of Sindh’s demoralized & bourgeois peoples and he had dedicated himself for the service of these people.

Muhammad Rafeeq Thaeem
(Central Joint Secretary, National Student Federation)

Mr. Fazil Rahoo dedicated his life for the oppressed & bourgeois peoples. Having shown their cowardice, dictator-based imperialist looser mob got Fazil Rahoo martyred. Though, he does not physically exist among us but we are dogged & determined to continue the struggle for the achievement of his objectives.

It is indeed a massive tragedy for Sindhi nation & oppressed voices. I salute this fellow of humanity.

Begum Nasim Wali Khan, Sardar Shaukat Ali)

To: Aslam Rahoo

The delegation of ANP is deeply grieved at the shocking news of Fazil Rahoo’s callous assassination. A great revolutionary leader has been lost from our destitute nation and ANP of course. Our hearts sheds the tears of blood along with other mourners.

Ghulam Mujtaba Jatoi
(Fazil Rahoo’s Companion)

I first met with Shaheed Fazil in Mach Jail during the MRD movement and a deep affection brotherhood developed between us during our joint stay there. He was an honest and altruistic person. On his grievous death; me, entire Sindh, our country and the whole world is deeply afflicted. I am equally allied with his family in this pain.

Qazi Muhammad Bux Dhamrah
(Fazil Rahoo’s Companion)

Shaheed Fazil was a pearl like personality. I had the honor to live jointly with him in Jail. He used to serve everybody, he would even bake loaves and that too first for the others and then for himself. He was so empowered by heart that the word “dejection” couldn’t ever come closer to him.

Abdul Wahid Aarisar
(Chairman, G.A Sindh Muhaaz)

I am writing these lines with shuddering hands for my late friend. Fazil Rahoo was not only my friend but we passed our four years together in Jail as well for the freedom of Sindh. Today, I really feel that Sindh has deprived to one of its adoring heroic son. Fazil Rahoo’s martyrdom’s pain is very much personal to me together with the national grief of Sindh.
